We are only limited by the things that we allow to limit us. We can win if we decide that losing is not an option and live like it. Most of us just need someone to tell us that we are capable and show us how to tap into our strengths to grow from where we are, to where we want to be.
In 20/20 let's gain, "Clarity."
Just one year after being married to the love of my life, we divorced. Things were ugly... BUT GOD!
(Video testimonial coming soon).
Over the last 10 years, Pastor David, affectionately nicknamed "Rev," has mentored over 1,000 youth and young adults through the Real Talk Mentoring Program. He is the founder and president of The Real Talk Mentoring Program which provides personal and leadership development opportunities for youth and young adults in schools and community centers throughout the Miami & Broward County area. During their time with in The RTMP students explore social and entrepreneurial interest and are resourced to make their dreams become reality. The mission of pastor D with The RTMP is to identify, train, and mobilize urban minority students in poverty-stricken areas for the work of community development.
Faith in Christ fuels Pastor David's pursuit of God and neighbor. Before Jesus, Rev. was a mess, and without Him, he was headed nowhere fast. However, after a radical conversion he immersed himself in the study of scripture, prayer, and partnering with God to restore the streets he once partnered with the adversary to destroy. Today, Rev., is known for no-holds-barred gospel preaching, pounding the concrete for the glory of God and good of neighbor, and being a relentless church planter and mentor to many in the urban community of South Florida.
David has been a member of the City of Hollywood Florida’s African American Advisory Council for the past five years. Together, with the council, he seeks the welfare of South Florida's community of color by creating and promoting educational, economic, and entrepreneurial development opportunities. Rev. has also hosted two Gospel and Race conferences and several other forums where thought leaders and justice practitioners, such-as, Dr. Soong-Chan Rah, Pastor D.A. Horton, Pastor John Onwuchekwa, Pastor Randy Nabors, and Dr. Terriel Byrd, led ministry and community leaders in times of lament and learning. For him, activism is a vital part of ordinary Christian ethics in light of scriptural texts such-as, Proverbs 31:8-9, which reads, “Open your mouth for the mute, for the rights of all who are destitute. Open your mouth, judge righteously, defend the rights of the poor and needy.”
What is it that is holding you back and hindering you from being great? This presentation is built on years of trial and error, failure and success.
By the end of our time together, you will grow more confident in the reality that you have everything you need to overcome and win "against all odds".
We all know that we should love our neighbors as ourselves, but not many of us are committed to making that the way we live our lives.
In this presentation, we walk participants through a theology and vision for mission in their context.
This presentation walks students and young adults through the true story of three individuals who were born into addiction, poverty, and dysfunction yet have become high-level leaders and entrepreneurs.
Blurred vision leads to all sorts of danger. Clarity on the other hand allows for us to see clearly, adjust where needed, and win! Steve Maraboli puts it this way, "A lack of clarity could put the brakes on any journey to success,".
This spring, Rev and friends will be bringing the 20/20 Clarity tour to schools and faith-based groups all over South Florida, inspiring greatness through clarity of mind, body, and soul.
